What I knew prior to going to the institution was that there would be powerful images and objects that really speak to the majority of the audience that comes to the museum. The bus that had received damage from a bombing and the little girls objects that were with her when the bomb in the church went off, i think are the two most powerful things. The bus, just looking at it, you think that it could have been you on that bus, or the guy thats in the office next to you, or someone you're close to. It scares you to think that such violence was going on in our own country because of something no one has control over. If it was possible before, whats stopping the same actions from happening again.
The thing I learned the most about and actually want to know more about is the children's march. In the museum I liked how they talked about it, and going in the park with the statues reenacting the scenes from the brutal attacks by the police then, really puts how dangerous this was, but they were willing to risk it because they were standing up for their rights and what they believed in.
